Match 1F - GLMK Stall VS League of Doom

Aaron wins the flip and elects to take Evens.

        TURN 1 (JS Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

JS sets and flips Doomstadt and recruits Boris in the front row.

Aaron sets a resource and passes.

    COMBAT PHASE

JS attacks with Boris for 1

        TURN 2 (Aaron Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

Aaron sets a resource and recruits Kyle Raynor searching for No Evil Shall Escape Our Sight and placing it in his hand.

JS sets a resource and passes.

    COMBAT PHASE

Aaron sends Kyle Over Boris for the stun.

    RECOVERY PHASE

JS recovers Boris

        TURN 3 (JS Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

JS sets a resource and recruits gypsy in the front row in his hidden area looking at his top 3 cards and placing one of them on top of his deck while the rest go to the bottom.

Aaron sets a resource and boosts olapet into play getting Arisia and placing her behind olapet.

    COMBAT PHASE

JS attacks Kyle with Gypsy for a stun and passes.

Aaron Attacks with Olapet into Boris for the stun and Arisia attacks direct.

    RECOVERY PHASE

JS recovers Boris
Aaron recovers Kyle

        TURN 4 (Aaron Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

Aaron sets a resource and recruits Daredevil, hornhead protecting arisia, moving Olapet protecting Kyle.

JS Sets a resource and plays Enemy of my Enemy, discarding Superman, Metropolis Marvel to fetch Dr. Doom, recruiting him behind Boris, flipping down Enemy of my Enemy. Then flipping up Forbidden Loyalties, discarding Robot Sentry to place a +1/+1 counter on Doom.
Then JS plays 2 reign of Terror from his hand returning Kyle, Arisia and Olapet to JS's hand.

    COMBAT PHASE

Aaron attacks Boris with Daredevil. Boris activates grabbing Mystical Paralysis for JS and the attack resets.
Aaron passes

JS declares a team attack of Gypsy and Doom into Daredevil. Dardevil stuns back Gypsy.

    RECOVERY PHASE

Aaron recovers Daredevil
JS recovers Gypsy

        TURN 5 (JS Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

JS sets a resource and recruits Superman, metro marvel.

Aaron sets a resource and recruits Katma Tui equipping her with a Green Lantern ring

    COMBAT PHASE

JS sends Superman on Katma Tui, Playing Mightiest Heroes from the row discarding a robot sentry to get a superman and powers up.
Katma activates to gain 5 endurance and stuns.
Dr. doom and gypsy team attack Daredevil.
Aaron plays enemy of my enemy discarding Kyle Raynor to search for Daredevil and powers up. Also using daredevils effect(Discarding arisia) to reach 11 DEF.
JS Responds by powering up Doom.
Aaron plays Wild Ride from the row to grab another Daredevil, losing 4 endurance and powering up again.
JS plays Savage Beatdown.
Daredevil and Gypsy trade mutual stuns.

    RECOVERY PHASE

Aaron recovers Katma Tui
JS recovers Gypsy

GLMK Stall -> 35  League of Doom -> 41



        TURN 6 (Aaron Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

Aaron sets a resource and plays enemy of my enemy from the row, discarding Daredevil to grab Sinestro.

JS sets a resource and plays enemy of my enemy discarding Kristoff von doom for Aquaman, lord of atlantis. Entering play his effect returns Kristoff and a savage beatdown to the hand.

    COMBAT PHASE

Sinestro declares an attack on superman, JS plays a Mystical Paralysis from the row before the attack is legal to exhaust Sinestro, to which he chains Katma's effect, exhausting Sinestro to gain 5 endurance.
Shrugging, Aaron exhausts Katma to gain 5 more and passes.

JS Declares Superman into sinestro. Once legal playing a savage beatdown. Both players pass on the mutual stun.
Then JS Swings with Aquaman into Katma, stunning her before sending gypsy to poke direct for 2 more.

    RECOVERY PHASE

After some serious pondering Aaron recovers Katma and KOs sinestro.
JS recovers Superman.

GLMK Stall -> 27  League of Doom -> 36



        TURN 7 (JS Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

JS sets and flips for the glory of doom! And then flips up another one. using the ko effect on aquaman to deal 2 endurance damage to JS. Before recruiting the 7 drop Aquaman, forming him in the front row, protecting Dr. Doom with Superman adjacent to him in the front row.

Aaron Sets a resource and flips up an Enemy of my Enemy to fetch Guy gardner and recruits him behind Katma.

    COMBAT PHASE

Aquaman returns a savage beatdown and a Superman to JS's hand.

Superman attacks Guy with a power-up and a beatdown
Aaron plays cover fire
JS responds with another beatdown and they both stun. Continuing, Aquaman attacks Katma, who gains 5. Then JS sends Doom and Gypsy direct before usingthe effect on his second Glory of doom to KO Superman and burn 2 for the win.

    RECOVERY PHASE

    GLMK Stall -> -1  League of Doom -> 31

        POSTGAME THOUGHTS:


Aaron Thoughts:
"Stupid Doom! Between doomstadt and Forbidden loyalties my pillow fisted characters never seemed to be able to get him face down. Being a bit familiar with the decklist I knew he was going to get a beatdown back on 6 and hoped I could lifegain my way through it. I wasn't expecting the second beatdown and even if i had survived the turn, i wasn't hopeful in my ability to brick a list playing an essentially free +10 atk every turn from 7 onward."

JS Thoughts:
"IF it wasn't for the god-hand double reign turn 4 i'm pretty sure I lose every version of this matchup. Making sure I always stunned his high willpower characters first also negated I'm back Poozer play completely. And going out of my way to always stun his board guaranteed no lanterns in love use either."
